Coppélie Cocq, Professor in Sámi Studies and Digital Humanities is Research Director at Humlab, Umeå University.
She is deputy director of the research infrastructure Huminfra, UMU-coordinator for the DASH Data, Culture and Society, Critical Perspectives, Sweden’s National Graduate School in Digital Humanities and co-editor for the Journal JAF: A Global Quarterly.
Coppélie conducts research within the focus area of digital practives. Her research interests are cultural forms of expression, storytelling and narrative (from oral to digital) as well as critical studies in minority and indigenous research. Ethical and methodological perspectives on digital research, for instance the consequences of digitalisation and AI for our societies and in research, are other topical issues in her research.
